LIGHT/SIGHTGLASS COMBINATION PROVIDES ILLUMINATION AND VIEWING
THROUGH A SINGLE PORT FOR HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS
Observing the contents in a processing vessel in a hazardous classified location normally requires the use of two sightglasses, one for lighting, the other for viewing. The Series SLEX-100/NW and REX-100/NW eliminates the expense of an additional port and the expense to install it. The explosion-proof UL-844 and C-UL/CSA C22.2 No. 137 listed Series REX-100 and SLEX-100 lighting units and the corresponding Series NW sightglass provide glare-free illumination precisely where you want it - at the viewing port. Units are available with standard nominal viewing diameters of 5, 6, 7, and 9 inches.
Series NW Circular Sightglasses are manufactured from ASME Section VIII acceptable metals. The lower flange can be supplied thicker if required to reinforce the vessel opening in accordance with ASME Section VIII requirements. These sightglasses have standard pressure ratings of 150 PSIG (10.3 Barg) pressure and full vacuum at 300ºF (149ºC) temperature.
